Wolf and bear tracks collide up “little bear creek” at SAFARI camp.

The Alaska Peninsula supports very healthy populations of coastal brown bears and decent populations of wolves. Bears sightings happen, literally, on a daily basis. Wolf sightings are far more rare – we have perhaps half a dozen each summer, but we see a LOT of wolf tracks while we’re out and about fishing, exploring and hiking. And that just never gets old.
