Good to be Back in Nakalilok Bay

Alaska Peninsula Fishing Camp

Hanging out at SAFARI camp’s observation table, soaking it in and looking for bears.

We always enjoy the heck out of spending time and fishing on the Bristol Bay side of the Alaska Peninsula at our OUTPOST camp, but there’s just something special about Nakalilok Bay on the Pacific side of the peninsula. It may be the smell of salt in the air, the sound of the gulls, the sight of fresh salmon jumping on the tidal flat, or the coastal brown bears roaming and foraging in the meadows. It’s probably all the above.

Whatever it is, it feels like a home away from home. And it’s good to be back for another season of fishing and adventure.
