One of our favorite things to do in Anchorage before and after the summer Alaska fishing season is to hang out at the Fancy Moose bar next to the Millenium Hotel, drink a cold Alaska Amber beer, and watch float planes take off and land on Lake Hood – the world’s busiest float plane base, handling an average of 190 flights per day!
