Doug is a stream fisherman at heart and loves spending his days up our Alaska Peninsula river valley pursuing sea-run Dolly Varden on light fly fishing tackle. But on his 5th trip to SAFARI camp, he certainly knows better than to pass up an opportunity to sight cast to sea-bright chum and silver salmon on a tidal flat flood tide under clear skies and calm winds. After all, these days are not the norm in mid September, and you better seize the moment while you can.
